Dr. Bruns completed her undergraduate degree at Linfield College in Exercise Science. She then went on to Colorado State University to complete a masters in Health & Exercise Science and a PhD in Human Bioenergetics.  After finishing her postdoctoral training in Cardiology at the University of Colorado-Anschutz Medical Campus, she arrived at the University of Wyoming in the fall of 2018.

When not in the lab, Dr. Bruns can be found outside, exploring beautiful Wyoming with her husband and sons.
